Psalms `47:10-11

10  His delight is not in cthe strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man,

11  but the Lord dtakes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who ehope in his steadfast love.

The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (Ps 147:10–11). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.

Man’s greatest sin is thinking that he is all self sufficient, and that’s essentially pride. Man take pride in their strength, and intelligence, and through that, Success is their self reinforcement of such arrogance. A man of God counts not on his own strength because that can fade, nor in himself because it is foolish to overestimate himself. To be our own god is but a foolish desire that is matched only pride of a fallen archangel. We are created to be in His fellowship, to trust in Him, and to trust in His steadfast love and faithfulness. In Him, there is fullness of joy and we are complete in Him. I pray that God, I will always be taking delight in You, and not in my intellectual or ability, but the source of my delight and all, is in Your love.
