Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kings, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4
Do we want to stand still and wait for the wind to come and crush us under its weight and force? This is especially so in the lift of a Christian, when everything seems good, and easy that’s where we begin to die. Christian grow in times of trials and hardship, and that in contrary to popular belief that God only wants to bless us with wealth, and health, God is interested to get us to be more like Christ, and trial is a precious tool that God use to add to our godliness.
Beside a powerful tool, it is also an indication of God’s faithfulness. In Good Times and in Bad Times, God’s faithfulness perhaps is more visible and noticeable when the trials come when the only comfort we Christians can hang on to is God’s faithfulness throughout the ages.
