For the Lord delights in his people, he crowns the humble with victoryPsalms 149:4
Throughout the Scriptures, one resounding theme of a specific character trait of human beans that please God, that is humility. Opposite of that, pride, is the idolatry of self, that thinking we can be ‘god’. Humility redefines human’s struggle for self-autonomy, that includes our unreservedly self reliant on God for everything, including, and more important, our future. No matter how dark, or fussy, or uncertain it is, especially so, in today’s turmoil, can we give up the steering wheel of our lives, and let God take over?
God’s grace and mercy extend to the humble with the certainty that He will take care of us, through stormy times, and through the mountain top, in, either way, our journey must not be defined by its circumstances, but by our proximity to God. Can I trust Him for my future and providence?
